MY TIME AS MISS FRIZZLE INSPIRED ME TO BECOME A STRATEGIST
Before pursuing strategy at the VCU Brandcenter, I worked for a children's museum and at a digitally focused publishing shop that specialized in curriculum development. Kids taught me that discovery is being unafraid to ask a million questions and that problems are opportunities in the making. They also inspired me to fearlessly build and rebuild things: from upgrading my costume closet to creating business ideas to help solve everyday problems.
SUNSHINE ON MY SHOULDERS MAKES ME HAPPY
I believe the outdoors are little slices of happiness that interrupt the hum-drum of day-to-day life. My best friend and I pro-crasta plan at least one outdoor adventure per year. We have road tripped from North Carolina to climb red rocks in Utah, hiked the Appalachian trail in a hailstorm and raced wild ponies in Virginia.
MY FAVORITE PART OF PAINTING IS THE MIXING PALETTE
After 25 years I finally sold my first painting (besides the one my grandma decided she had to own), but in-between I discovered a passion for design. My almost degree in Occupational Therapy became my door to the human-centered design process.
